Home & On the Road
Having the right supplies at home and on the go is essential for caring for and caring for babies and children.
Baby and child care products
Baby and child care products are essential products used for the care and well-being of babies and children. These products range from basic necessities to specialized products.
In the bath and shower
When bathing or showering a baby, there are several supplies you'll need to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. Consider a small, specially designed baby bath tub for bathing. Soft washcloths, baby shampoo, or soap are also helpful when bathing. A warm bath cape is a nice way to wrap your child after bathing. A soft muslin cloth is best used to dry a baby, as these absorb water quickly. Children also enjoy playing with bath toys in the bath. If you don't have a bathtub, there are also shower seats you can place in the shower, creating a bath for your child in the shower. Children appreciate being wrapped in a warm bathrobe or bath cape after showering or bathing to prevent them from getting cold. Always supervise your baby at all times during bathing and ensure all supplies are within reach before you begin. Safety is paramount when bathing a baby or child.
Changing and toilet training
Changing and toilet training are important aspects of caring for a baby and young child. Besides diapers, wipes, and diaper cream or ointment, a changing table is also handy. A changing pad allows your baby to lie comfortably. Most changing pads have a waterproof or washable cover, making them easy to clean in case of accidents.
If you're going out, make sure you have a diaper bag with a changing mat and toiletry bag to store all the baby's diaper needs. If you're going outdoors and the sun is shining, it's wise to bring sunscreen and a hat. Once your child is a little older, you'll want to teach them to pee and poop on the toilet. A small, child-friendly potty seat that your child can sit on to learn how to pee and poop is a good transitional phase. Some children skip this and prefer to go straight to the toilet. A step stool can help promote independence in getting on and off the toilet. Toilet seat reducers are available to help them sit more comfortably on the toilet.
Food and drink
As soon as children start eating solid foods, it's wise to use children's tableware, plates that won't break, and cutlery that children can easily grasp with their small hands. Learning to drink from a cup also happens gradually; there are straw cups that prevent a lot of spills. Children usually don't learn to eat and drink without making a mess. Therefore, it's wise to put a bib on your child. There are also placemats and spill mats to keep the table and floor less messy during mealtimes. If your child goes to school, they should also have a backpack with a lunch box, a water bottle, and a snack container for fruit. In summer, lunch and fruit can get very warm; to keep the food cool, you can add a cooler.
To ensure children remain seated at the table during mealtimes, highchairs are available. They can sit safely in these chairs and be secured with separately available brackets/harnesses. Several chairs can be converted to adapt to your child's needs as they grow and sit comfortably at the table.
Essentials for on the road
If you're leaving home with young children, you'll need supplies, even if it's just for a quick errand. Going out with a baby can be done in various ways. If you enjoy walking, consider a good stroller. If your child enjoys being carried, a baby carrier is the ultimate solution. These come in various models for babies, but Wildride's baby carriers for toddlers are also a great solution for longer walks. If you're going on a long car ride, there are various toys for children to keep them entertained during the trip (these toys often also provide plenty of entertainment during a flight). Examples of toys for the car or plane include:
the Carplayset from Taf Toys, the Timio player or the Travelfun Travel table.
If your child goes to daycare, it's helpful to send them items like pajamas/sleeping bags and a change of clothes in a backpack. You might also like to check out our personalized backpacks.
